Hey Mama Friends! Since I have been asked a few times about must have registry items, I thought I might just compile a list for you all. I could write a much longer list of things we use and love, but these are some of the top products that we love and have enjoyed during Judah’s newborn stage of life. Also, I have included links for you to shop these items. Enjoy!
#1 – Advanced Anti-Colic Tomee Tippee Bottles
We have used a couple of different bottle brands. These seem to be the best bottle, that we have tried, for breastfed babies. The wide nipple makes feeding easy for babies who are used to latching on momma. Also, the anti-colic straws help reduce air bubbles!
#2 – KidScents Oils from Young Living
We use oils on Judah every day. The KidScents line from Young Living are already diluted, making them easy and safe to apply. I highly recommend TummyGize, SniffleEase, and SleepyIze. When Judah was a newborn, he had some tummy troubles. We used TummyGize on him three to five times a day in those early days. This oil got us through those fussy times!
#3 – Spectra S2 Plus Hospital Grade Electric Breast Pump
I love this breast pump! I’m sure that any hospital grade breast pump would do the job just fine. However, I have had an amazing experience with my Spectra. It has multiple speed and suction settings, a timer, and a nightlight for those nighttime pump sessions. Also, most typical insurance companies will cover a nice breast pump. Mine was fully covered through insurance!
#4 – Footsie/ zipper jammies
Newborns have to be woke up for feedings every two hours, and to have their diaper changed. These zipper jammies make it easy to get the job done quick.
#5 – SwaddleMe Original Swaddle
These were our favorite swaddles! We started out using regular muslin swaddle blankets on Judah, but there was one problem: that baby busted out of it within minutes. We had to re-swaddle him every ten minutes! But these are so easy and quick to use, and the velcro keeps him nice and tightly swaddled. We noticed Judah would sleep longer and better once we switched to these.
#6 – SEEDLINGS Bundle from Young Living
If you can only get one thing off of this list, this is the thing to get! These are the only baby products that we use on Judah. This is because they are chemical and toxin free, infused with essential oils, and economical (a little bit goes a long way). Not to mention, Judah has NEVER had a rash! Praise!!
#7 – Upsimples Baby Swaddle Blanket Set
I know I spoke negatively about these before, and that is only when trying to use these for swaddling. However, I love these for snuggle time and for basic blankets. Judah loves these specifically because they are SO soft!
#8 – Owlet Smart Sock
This sock monitors your babies movements, heart rate and oxygen levels. So, at bedtime we put this sock on Judah and we sleep peacefully. It is worth EVERY penny!
#9 – Snuggle Me Organic Infant Loungers
Judah loves his Snuggle Me! It makes the baby feel like they are in the womb or snuggled up with momma.
#10 – Feather the Owl Essential Oil Diffuser
Any Young Living diffuser would be great, but this one is nice because it is also a sound machine, nightlight and humidifier. It has multiple settings for each of these things. Also, this diffuser is so cute! We diffuse lavender and Cedarwood at bedtime every night. Judah loves his oils!
#11 – Diaper Pail
I don’t care what anyone says, this is a NEED! I went two days without ours one time (because we were out of bags) and it took days to get that diaper smell out of our house. These are designed to keep that stinky stuff trapped and keep your house smelling fresh.
#12 – BabyBum Diaper Cream Brush
Okay, these are so nifty, because you can apply diaper cream to that sweet little booty without getting your hands dirty. It’s a win-win!
#13 – Ingenuity FoldAway Rocking Wood Bassinet
We love this bassinet because it is great quality and stylish. It also folds away neatly, making it great for travel.
#14 – Little Tikes Foam Changing Pad
We love this changing pad because it is easy cleaning. Who has time to wash changing pads and changing pad sheets every time your baby pees or has a blowout? Not me! And we love the dark grey color.
#15 – BIBS Pacifiers
We have tried so many pacifiers for this boy and these are the only ones that he keeps in his mouth. He loves his BIBS paci!
